Free help is available if you and your staff want to give up or are interested in finding out about giving up smoking. Newcastle and North Tyneside Stop Smoking Service holds workplace group support sessions.
Specialist advisors run the sessions, which:
- last for twelve weeks
- include time to prepare for a quit date
- give information and advice on choosing a medication to help with quitting.
One-to-one support is also available. Newcastle and North Tyneside Stop Smoking Service can supply posters and leaflets advertising their service if you'd like to add them to your staff room.
Why Newcastle and North Tyneside Stop Smoking Service?
Research has shown that you're up to four times more likely to give up smoking with the support of your local NHS Stop Smoking Service and nicotine replacement products than willpower alone.
For more information about what help is available contact Nathan Thompson, Community Stop Smoking Advisor on telephone number 0191 2777444 or visit Newcastle and North Tyneside Stop Smoking Service.
